Bring your family and friends!
Come up to the Castle...
And really see New Hampshire!
Bring the family up to enjoy the
breathtaking views from this spectacular
historic mansion and mountaintop estate
overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee! This
1914 Castle is preserved on a
picturesque 5500-acre estate, featuring
1000 feet of cascading waterfalls,
sumptuous gardens, winding paths and 45
miles of hiking trails. Stop by our
Castle Carriage House Cafe and Patio
with delicious lunches and snacks, visit
the New Hampshire-themed gift shop, or
come up for one of our many events and
activities.
We have great events all summer. Every
Thursday evening through September 4 on
the Patio overlooking the Lake, enjoy
"Thursday Jazz at Sunset," featuring
excellent jazz, blues, and standards
with hot appetizers and refreshments
available (Admission $10). Then just off
the Patio in the Carriage House, Art
Historian Sam Robbins has assembled, for
the first time, a spectacular display of
White Mountain art entitled, "Looking
through the Glass: Watercolors, Pastels
and Prints of the White Mountains."
This is a must see exhibit that will
run through October 15.
We have other great events, too. Every
Friday through the summer, come up to
the Carriage House at 1 p.m. for the up
close and personal Science Center
presentations--many featuring live
animals (and perfect for kids). And
every Monday at 10:30 a.m. through the
summer, learn a lot with our Free Walks
and Talks with talented experts on a
variety of topics. Plus we're featuring
a Free August Lecture Series,
Wednesdays, at 7 p.m. at the Carriage
House. Click on the Events tab at the
top of this page for details of all
these events. So bring your family,
friends and guests and come up to the
Castle and See New Hampshire this
summer!
