Cultivating Teacher Care at the Castle

Join Castle team members and guest speakers for a professional development day for teachers that focuses on mindfulness and avoiding burnout. Hear from professionals, get some tips & tricks, and learn more about the Castle in a presentation created for this event. Lunch will be provided.

Registration will open at 8:30, giving participants time to network prior to the start of the event. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes such as a Complimentary Castle in the Clouds Family Membership, Castle in the Clouds $50 Gift Certificate, and a Castle in the Clouds Family Four Pack for the Castle. Presenters and the schedule will be announced closer to the event.

Pre-registration is required. Those who register before 2025 will receive an extra raffle ticket. All ticket sales are final; no refunds, transfers to other days, or exchanges.

9:00-9:15 – Welcome and Introductions

9:15-10:15 – From Canvas to Film: Exploring the Art & Artists of Lucknow – Robin Sherman

10:15-10:30 – break

10:30-11:30 – choose between the following:

a) Yoga – Melissa Scgaliarini

b) Mindfulness Journaling & Crafting – Debbi Finkelstein

11:30-12:15 – lunch

12:15-12:45 – short hike if weather cooperates

12:45-1:45 – Keynote: Katy Magoon: Good Food, Good Mood

1:45-2:00 – break

2:00-3:00 – Visual Thinking Strategies with Lucknow Art – Debbi Finkelstein

3:00-3:30 – Closing remarks and Raffle

Please meet for this program at the Carriage House and park in the guest parking lot. There is accessible parking available right outside the Carriage House. The event will be held in the Winnipesaukee Room on the 2nd floor of the Carriage House building. To access the stairs, turn right immediately after entering the building. To access the service elevator, please go straight through both sets of double doors, and continue straight into the gallery. You will find the service elevator to your right in the corner.
