Creative Writing: Diving into the Past/Leaping into the Future

Barbara Bald is a retired teacher, educational consultant and free-lance writer. She has worked at the Frost Place in Franconia, served as outreach coordinator for NHPTV and volunteer reading and writing poetry with school-age children and adults. Her poems have been published in a variety of anthologies—most recently “Covid Spring,” published by Hobblebush Press. They have also appeared in various journals including: The Northern New England Review, Avocet, Off the Coast, Silver Birch Press and The Poets’ Touchstone. She has written two full-length books: Drive-Through Window and Other Voices/Other Lives, plus a chapbook entitled Running on Empty.

This program departs from the Carriage House. To access the Carriage House, please use our entrance (GPS compatible) located at:

Take Ossipee Park Road and bear right through the open fields, past the Caféto our main visitor parking lot on the left. The Carriage House is located just beyond the parking lot. Accessible parking is available directly across from the Carriage House.

All ticket sales are final; no refunds, transfers to other days, or exchanges.

This program is weather-dependent, and the Castle reserves the right to cancel if there are fewer than 4 total participants registered. If the Castle cancels the program, you will be notified via phone or email the day of the program and a refund for your ticket purchase will be made available. Otherwise, all sales are final and there are no refunds or exchanges permitted. In the rare circumstance that we are forced to cancel, we hope to have you at another program in the future!
