A distinctive location for life’s special moments!

Constructed in 1914 by industrialist Thomas G. Plant and his wife Olive, the Lucknow Estate (now known as Castle in the Clouds) sits high above Lake Winnipesaukee. The lovingly restored 1914 Mansion provides a unique backdrop for wedding ceremonies on the oval lawn, with its 180-degree views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee Mountain range, manicured gardens, and turn-of-the-century rock pool featuring “Sprite” a bronze statue by artist Lucy Currier Richards.

The Castle has four distinct locations for you to choose from, each with their own unique view and price point:

  • The Lucknow Mansion Garden – $2,500/hour
  • Carriage House Restaurant and Terrace – $600/hour
  • Winnipesaukee Room – $300/hour
  • Winnipesaukee Room with access to the Carriage House Terrace – $750/hour
  • The Meadows at Shannon Pond – $300/hour

 
Minimum of 2 hours for all rentals. Prices effective January 1, 2025, and subject to change without prior notice prior to finalized contract.
